Managed to book a cruise to Gallipoli for the centennial, it was stopping at Canakkale for two days, 25th and 26th April 2015. Was told we would not be allowed to cruise ANZAC Cove, but at 9 am the Turkish authorities related so was able to cruise the Cove, there were 8 other cruise ships including our one.

On the evening of the 25th the ship was moored at Canakkale and in the next berth was the MSC Opera cruise ship. We could not quite work it out at the time, but there were coaches returning full to the ship as the coaches were returning there was a choir on the ship and they were singing to the coaches as they pulled up, it must have gone on for about one hour, so moving and the songs were hymns and the Australian National Anthem have a video but its very very large so not easy to post up but it was so emotional.

Gallipoli on the 26th was as expected very very busy but it was lovely to see all the wreaths that had been laid the previous day. SO glad I went and also kept my promise to my Grandfather that I would be there for the Centennial albeit one day late, but I am sure that he will forgive me that.
