My Grandfather joined the AIF at Liverpool Camp, New South Wales, Australia, he arraived at Mena Camp Egypt 30th March 1915, he laded at ANZAC Cove at 11am on the 25th April, as his Battalion  was held back in reserve and was Killed in Action at Lone Pine between 6th - 9th August 1915.

The following link is to is the Casualty Form (Army Form B. 103) in respect of Private Pritchard. As can be seen he was posted as missing on 30 April 1915 (It would appear during the confusion of the April Landings he got separated from his unit). In August 1915 he was initially reported as wounded and missing and subsequently (April 1916) officially posted as Killed in action.
