This vessel had an interesting life and served under many names.

Built: 1912. Builders: Forges & Chantiers de la Mediteranee, La Seyne (Yard No.1055)

Owners: Cie. de Navigation Mixte, Marseilles.

Description

Weight: 3,496 Length: 344.5ft X 46.6 ft. Speed: 16 Knots.

Served as a Troop ship during the Gallipoli campaign.

1917 – Re-named Mustafa II

1933 – Re-named Djbel Antar.

1937 – Sold to Lamorna Shipping Company Ltd., London. (Renamed again as the Helendra).

1938 – Sold to Edouard Godillot, Colon, Panama (Renamed Gatun, then Alice, then Margit).

1940 – Purchased by Margit SS Co. Colon, Panama.

1941 – Bombed and sunk in Kalkara Creek Malta on 19/4/1941.
