Bakery Beach

A small rocky beach between the south-western tip of the peninsula and X Beach. The first bakeries were established here three weeks after the landings (the French who had theirs from the very beginning of the campaign).

The supply of wood for the ovens was always a problem as it had to be shipped from Egypt of Lemnos.

It appears that the first issue of Bread was made from BAKERY BEACH on the 21st of May.
