BOYLE, Manis (Manus) Private 669 6th Bn Royal Munster Fusiliers

Born: Gweedore, Co Donegal Resided: Crolly, Co Donegal Enlisted: Hamilton, Lanarkshire.

Date of Death: 15/08/1915 Cause: Killed in action

Family Notes: Son of, Donal and Ellen Boyle of Crolly, Co Donegal.

Other notes: Private Boyle’s Medal Index Card does not show a date for his entry into the Gallipoli Theatre of Operations.

Special Notes: Private Boyle is listed with his first name shown as “MANUS” in some records.

Grave/Memorial: Panel 185 to 190. Helles Memorial.

Other Memorials: Private Boyle is named in, the Scottish Roll of Honour, in the Scottish National War Memorial, Edinburgh Castle, Edinburgh.
