Age: 22.   Date of Death: 28/06/15.   Cause of Death: K.I.A (Presumed Dead)
Military Service: 168 days.   Family Notes: Father, John; mother, Janet; brothers, Robert, George, Hugh, Thomas; sisters, Jessie, Elizabeth, Maggie.
Religion: n/k.        Trade/Profession: Miner

Other Notes: His M.I.C shows he entered (2b) Balkans on 12/06/15
He was reported missing Authority B213 on 3/7/15, struck off strength Authority War Office Letter 221/4342 (A.G 2a) of 18/08/15, and regarded for Official Purposes as having died on or since 28/06/15 A.F B2090c E246014 of 30/08/1916.

James is listed ( name misspelt) on the United Collieries Roll of Honour 1914-1918
He is commemorated on the Helles Memorial, Panel 26-30.
