AITKEN, John, Private 1707

Born: Date n/k, Glasgow.        Resided: Address n/k, Edinburgh. Enlisted: Date n/k Leith
Age: n/k    Date of Death: 28/06/15.   Cause of Death: K.I.A (Death Presumed)
Military Service: n/k Family Notes: From his Soldiers Effects Register we know he was survived by his mother, Joan and a brother, Joseph, and a sister, Catherine Jones.


Other notes: His M.I.C shows entered (2a) Balkans on 12/06/15.
He would have been struck off strength Authority War Office Letter 121/4342 (A.G 2a) of 18/08/15, and regarded for Official Purposes as having died on or since 28/06/15 as per A.F B2090 E246014/1 of 30/08/1916.

He is commemorated on the Helles Memorial, Panel 26 - 30.
