Name: Rowlinson William Rank: Private Service No: 12552 Regiment: 8 Bn Royal Welsh Fusiliers
Age:24 Date of Death: 07/10/1915 Cause: Killed in action.
Family notes: Son of Robert and Alice Rowlinson, of Brookfield Rd., Sawston, Cambridge.
Other notes: Private Rowlinson's Medal Index Card shows him as entering the Gallipoli Theatre of Operations on 28/6/1915. The 8 Bn Royal Welsh Fusiliers were part of 13 (Western) Division and did not land at Gallipoli until August 1915.
Grave Reference: II. E. 26. Green Hill Cemetery, Gallipoli.
Other memorials: Private Rowlinson is also commemorated on the Sawston War Memorial, Sawston, Cambridge.
