Name: Ward Robert Thomas, Rank: Able Seaman Service No: KX438 Unit: 4 Pln. "B" Coy, Hood Bn. R.N.D. (R.N.V.R.).
Date of death: 6 May 1915. Cause: Killed in action (Initially reported as missing).
Military Service:  Enlisted in the Northumberland Fusiliers 4/9/14 & transferred to the RNVR 9th Sept. 1914 ; Hood Bn. B/195 9/9/14-6/5/15.
*Family notes: Husband of Jane Ward, of 250 Back Stanhope St., Newcastle-on-Tyne. (Next of kin not listed on CWGC entry).
Occupation: Crane Driver.
Other notes: His 1914 Star wasissued to his widow on 18/5/20.
Grave/memorial reference: Panel 8 to 15, Helles Memorial, Gallipoli, Turkey.
