Hi
I have joined the Gallipoli Association Forum on behalf of the Bristol Scout:Rebuilding Grandad's Aircraft little band of 2 brothers (David and Rick Bremner) and their friend Theo Willford who have between them recreated Grandad's Bristol scout 1264.

Grandad Ft Lt FDH Brement flew with No. 2 Wing RNAS, and in the spring of 1916 they were stationed at Thasos, a Greek island off the coast of Bulgaria, who had recently joined the Axis powers.   He brought home with three parts from his beloved 1264 (which is at the bottom of the sea)...

Our aim is to take the Bristol Scout out to Imbros/Thasos

The story of our build is located at www.bristolscout.wordpress.com

or for those on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Bristol-Scout-Rebuilding-Grandads-Aircraft/358744870975607

Please do contact if you have an interest in this project and the RNAS in Gallipoli

With Kind Regards
Sue Bremner

G-FDHB:  welcome to the Gallipoli forum.  I hope you will be active and post your grandadds activities here.   I have found it a very helpful forum for researching the units and soldiers who fought on the peninsula.   Rebuilding a WW1 plane sounds interesting, hope to here more about it and its place in the war.
Cheers
